I always loved writing and since I can remember I had the urge to turn into pages the meaningful thoughts, decisions and events that happened in my life. And yes, at one point I also dreamed of becoming a writer but the awareness of me not being one of those natural talents who can easily compose a masterpiece dissolved the fantasy.

To me, writing means passion but it also means lots of work and endless revisions. So at one point, when I decided I wanted to try to be a travel blogger I could hear the voice in the back of my mind saying “oh come on Milla, even if you love it it doesn’t mean you are good at it.” It hurt and it did because it wasn’t a judgement coming from an expert, it was just a self-defense mechanism generated from my fear of failure. But instead of giving up I decided to fight my own concerns and give it a try.

So here I am, a brand new travel blogger with only a couple of months experience but loads of enthusiasm and the desire to turn a dream into my everyday life.

The purpose of this award is for bloggers to reward other bloggers who inspired them with their valuable contents, exceptional stories and/or writing skills.

When Rachael of Let’s Grow There nominated me I was speechless. Not only I didn’t know such a thing existed, but I never even considered receive a nomination for my blog in such a short time. And for those who think I’m making such a big fuss for a little recognition, I say “you are right, I haven’t been nominated for the Nobel Prize, but deep down these are the small things that keep us new bloggers motivated.”

Nowadays nearly everyone is giving blogging a try and it’s very easy to feel inadequate, especially at the beginning of such a complicated journey. That’s why I’m flattered for having been selected and I’m happy to nominate a few of my favorite travel bloggers.
